Mike Davies - Chairman

Mike joined the Midas board in May 2006. He brings a great deal of experience to the team having previously been involved with companies specialising in UK and overseas construction.

He is an experienced overseas property investor owning properties in several countries.

Mikes role involves reviewing new project opportunities and emerging markets, to negotiating with key stakeholders and bringing forward investment opportunities to the company. Mike is also heavily involved with the Midas finance and investment packages.

Mike’s position has led to him forming relationships with government officials, MPs and Mayors in many countries. This network has proved invaluable in advancing the Midas business.

David Southwell - Managing Director

David brings many years of board level experience in Overseas Property, Marketing and Manufacture. His greatest strengths are in Marketing and Sales.

Dr. Azhar Abd Latib MBA Phd - Project Director Asia

Azhar has over 15 years experience in real estate and privatisation projects with extensive networking capabilities in South East Asia. Over the years, he has worked with Malaysia/Indonesia senior government officials on various private/non-private developments, and restructuring for several listed companies in the region. Azhar is also familiar with finance and operational structure in Asia and works closely with international banks.

Paul Branford - Development Director

Paul joins Midas and brings with him over 25 years of Sales and Marketing experience both at senior management and board level, 20 of which have been within the Overseas Property and Financial Services sector.

His experience in Overseas Property dates back to 1988 where he spent four years working as a Sales Manager for a Tenerife based Property Company.

With his experience in overseas property coming from both an agent and developers perspective Paul brings a wide range of knowledge and skill to the team.

Tony Stocks B.Sc(Econ) - Technical Director

Tony's property experience began in his family business (building, development and management). He then proceeded to gain considerable marketing/sales experience as Marketing Manager for a succession of companies culminating in a Stock Market Services company. This led him to join a Stock/Commodity Brokerage which provided invaluable city and company finance experience as well as rounding off his experience in all aspects of business.

Meanwhile he had been busy establishing his own company and building up his own property portfolio (UK & Abroad) including a substantial portfolio of letting.

After leaving the City, Tony decided to capitalise on his considerable finance, marketing and real estate experience and to concentrate solely on the property industry in the UK and Overseas.

He has also invested directly in our developments.

James Hitchcock - Project Director

James is a very seasoned property investor, having built from scratch a very considerable portfolio, then selling same to reinvest in overseas property.

James is an investor in Midas Developments as well as Project Director responsible for overseeing various developments including our latest Bulgarian Development in Bansko. In addition James has been very successful in bringing considerable investment funds into Midas.

Darren Simpson BA(hons) - IT Director

Darren is responsible for all IT requirements of Midas, and is responsible for the design and functionality of our website, often commented on as one of the most informative.

Darren's programming ability will ensure we have the most efficient and time saving automated systems for issuing and controlling all our contracts for both clients and agents.
